If you have a spare $30 to waste the the mouse jiggler could be for you. You see, the problem with PCs is that they have screen savers which prevent your old monitor from getting damaged. If you are too lazy to right click on the screen and hit properties and switch off the screen saver, then the mouse jiggler is just for you. You plug it in to your USB port and it basically moves your mouse around automatically preventing the screen saver from activating. Yes… right. Why would I want to spend $30 to do what 6 mouse clicks could do for free?
OK, after a few minutes of thinking I can actually find 1 good reason to use this. In corporate networks you have this software called Active Directory. Your username is added to that and your PC is dragged in to a container which then sets up the rules of the computer to make sure your PC is locked, or screen saver activated if you are away from your PC. With the user settings being set quite strict in some company networks, it can get frustrating having to type in a password on the screen saver. This device could counter this problem by always allowing your PC to be active, although if company networks are that strict then there is a chance they might have disabled the use of USB ports anyway. Oh well
