Thanko has launched a USN 3.0 hard disk drive enclosure that allows you to connect up a hard drive and make use of the faster USB 3.0 speeds.
Included in the box is a USB 3.0 cable, carrying pouch, instruction manual and screws that let you mount a 2.5 inch SATA HDD in to the enclosure.
The new HDD enclosure is only USB 3.0 compatible, so if you have a 2.0 only PC then it won't work. From what we understand the drive is compatible with Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7 in either 32-bit or 64-bit varieties. Thanko do not mention if it is compatible on the Mac or not.
The USB 3.0 hard drive enclosure from Thanko costs around $61 and is available from GeekStuff4U.
