Sony is about to make a new update available for the PlayStation 3 in preparation for the launch of the PS Vita. The new update enables the PS3 to be a content management device for the PS Vita by allowing games, music, photos and videos to be transferred between devices.
Several other features are also being made available in the PS3 4.00 update:
PlayStation Plus members can now choose to enable or disable each automatic update feature
Recommended games and videos
Sync trophy information
New PlayStation Network settings for filtering friend requests and messages
The update is expected to rollout this week in preparation for the PS Vita launch in Japan which will be mid December (17th).
