The Sony Ericsson W995a is a Walkman phone which has an 8.1 megapixel camera with LED flash, autofocus as well as face detection, a 2.6 inch QVGA screen and a forward facing lower res camera for making video calls.
The phone will cost $600 unlocked and on the connectivity side of things it has Wi-Fi and 3G as well as Bluetooth. A GPS unit is built in which allows geo-tagged pictures to be taken although for some reason it seems like the GPS cannot be used with the built in Google Maps which instead, only uses 3G triangulation to estimate your current location.
The Walkman feature of the phone utilises dedicated physical buttons for playback and plays all the standard formats as can be expected. The Sony W995a has a built in FM radio which can be preset and the phone also has Clear Stereo and Clear Bass which enhances sound quality according to Sony.
The Sony W995a will be available in July in the US costing $600 unlocked.
