Sony Ericsson have announced a new mobile phone in it's Walkman range named the W705. The W705 fits in to the upper end of their range of phones.
Sony Ericsson W705 Features
* The W705 is a 3G slider with HSDPA support.
* The introduction of Wi-Fi is a first for a Walkman phone, adding considerable versitility.
* A 3.2 megapixel camera with a flash, plus a secondary video call lens, are also featured.
* The latest Walkman v3.0 software, an FM RDS radio and the YouTube video service take care of the media duties.
Geo-tagging is possible on this phone although it does appear to lack a dedicated GPS unit inside. The phone is able to geo-target by using cell broadcasts which do not give the accuracy of GPS, but does give your position with in a few hundred meters normally.
Wi-Fi is another feature of the Sony Ericsson W705 and gives you the option of downloading music from the Sony Ericsson store.
Overall it's a nice step up from the older Walkman range of phones and should you be in the market for a decent smaller phone with out everything crammed in like the bigger Windows Mobile devices.
