Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-S800
May 2, 2007

The DSC-S800 is Sonys latest Cyber-Shot camera which features an 8.1 megapixel CCD and a 2.5 inch TFT LCD. The lens is quite powerful as it is a 6x optical zoom. Speed of the camera is rated up to ISO 1250 which allows you to capture fast moving action quite well. As well as the 6x optical zoom the camera has 12x digital zoom with macro mode. Overall it seems to be a well balanced camera with features for most situations. One more picture after the jump.
As well as capturing photos the camera also captures video at 30 frames per second. The battery powering the device is a NiMH AA battery which allows for 390 photos to be taken which for average use is ample. The camera has 56Mb of internal memory and this can be increased with the use of a Memory Stick DUO which I believe currently goes up to about 8GB if I remember correctly.
