Sonea Converts Noise to Energy

sonea-noise-to-power-converterThe Sonea is a concept gadget that converts noise to energy to be used to power things such as lights, mobile phone chargers and even TV's.

The device needs to be installed in a very noisy environment to be useful, so keeping it at home might not be the best option and instead, stick it in a local construction yard.

According to it's designers it is capable of producing 30 watts of power for each decibel of sound produced. If installed on a runway the noise from a plan can produce 240KW of power.

I'm not sure about this myself as it all seems a bit too theoretical and maybe slightly exaggerated as I would have expected a whole wall of these would be needed to produce any decent amount of power.

    Hi,
    I am a BE(Electronics & Instrumentation) student in BITS PILANI , DUBAI.
I am find ways to store noise energy .
I was hoping if you can give me some info. on the Sonic – Electric Transducer.

    Thank You

hi im aditaya goel from upes, dehradun.i have also been searching on this for a long time and i thought that like we store solar energy with the help of solar cells we can develop such cells .in thise cells will bepresent amplifiers which will amplify those signals ,a system to increase the frequency, its speed and a converter for converting that into electrical energy.
