The Tru:Motion mouse is built by a company named Smartfish Technologies. It’s different to your average mouse because it sits on top of a small pedestal that allows the mouse to be dipped from side to side (wiggled) while you use it. It’s kind of an odd idea but the company says that as you slide the mouse backwards and forwards, side to side, as you normally would a mouse, the extra pivoting motion makes it more comfortable to use.
The downside is that it does have another moving part, so the only real hope here (assuming it all works as described) is that they make it strong enough to last several years which is about the normal lifespan of a mouse.
The Tru:Motion mouse comes supplied in a snug case and when the mouse is taken out of the case, the case can then be used as a mouse mat.
