Skiff Reader has 11.5 inch Touchscreen

The Skiff Reader is a new eBook reader that measures just quarter of an inch thick and has a huge 11.5 inch touchscreen that can display 1600 x 1200 pixels making it ideal for newspaper layouts.

Included in the Skiff is 4GB of storage which allows for more than 3GB of eBooks and content to be stored. The large touchscreen uses eInk which should provide a decent battery life measured in days rather than hours.

For connectivity the Skiff Reader has USB, Wireless and 3G on the Sprint network, all of which can be used to transfer books and content on to the eReader.

Looking at the press shots it looks like a very nice device and well worth waiting for should you want a larger reader to work with. There are no details yet of pricing or availability although we have heard that Sprint will be selling it later on this year I assume due to the 3G connectivity that will be bundled in with the package.

Details of the Skiff can be found here. Please note that although a picture of the eBook being flexed can be found below, this only shows the screen and not the whole device which I assume doesn't bend that way.
