Sketch-3D Lets you Draw in 3D

Sketch3D 300x166 Sketch 3D Lets you Draw in 3DSketch-3D is an enhanced Etch-a-sketch that allows you to draw line images in 3D. Rather than the traditional 2 dials that the original uses, this version includes a 3rd which lets you pull the image towards or away from you.

Sketch-3D is not restricted to a small handheld unit and can be connected up to various devices such as projectors, plasma or LCD screens.

It uses two applications over a Pico-ITX x86 SBC, a Windows Embedded Standard device. The application essentially uses two software 3D “cameras ” that simulate the human eyes. These two cameras then output graphics using an anaglyphic (Red / Cyan) multiply effect thus creating the illusion of the drawing being truly three dimensional.
