Shape Shifting Paper

by Matthew on July 3, 2006

This has to go in to the weird catagory for today :) Researchers/scientists etc… have found that if you apply electricity to wood it slightly curves. They have known about this since the 50’s apparantly.

It works by coating paper with cellophane and then applying a microwave beam at it. The paper curves and then straightens once the beam is removed. It could have interesting uses such as flying paper? Maybe one day the govenrments will use this type of technology for surveillance.
