The UC-2000 built by Seiko went on sale about 24 years ago. It was called the “Wrist Information System” but looks like it was more of a wrist breaker to me. It received rave reviews back in it’s day and can still be spotted on eBay selling for around the $500 price range.
The watch was Seiko’s attempt to put a PC on your wrist. The controller acts as a docking station for the watch. You program the controller (the large part), dock the watch which then transfers the data between the two devices.

Love to see a follow up post on this showing the capabilities of this unit and the size of one today and what it can do instead. We’ve come a long ways…..baby.
You are 100% correct there… we have come a long ways from back in the 80’s.
Well, I;ve had my watch scince they came out.(sent to tokoyo ) to get it..
its worked great until two weeks ago..and it died..sent it to seiko to
have it repaired, BUT, no luck, they finally stoped makeing or keeping parts.
got it back today , no repair.. Thats to Bad…its been a fine watch…
I will look to have it repaired or maybe buy another one.. I still have the
books and wrist , and keyboard . They work just fine to…
just thought I;d throw that in their…if you have one for sale , I may be
