The mockup image below shows what the Nokia Lumia 900 could look like. The device is expected to launch soon and be a follow on from the Nokia Lumia 800 Windows Phone. The new details reveal that it will likely run the Windows Phone Mango operating system rather than Tango which was previously mentioned.

Youtube user 359gsm has run some tests to compare browser speeds on the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and the Nokia Lumia 800. The iPhone 4 is running iOS 4.3 while the 4S is running iOS 5. The results (unsurprisingly) reveal that the iPhone 4S is the winner. There are a few reasons for this of course.
Nokia has announced that it will be launching an update in January for the Nokia Lumia 800 Windows Phone. The update will attempt to fix the battery bug that has been limiting the life of the device between charges.
Nokia Research has been demonstrating a new system that can accurately track people or objects within a building. It works in a similar way to what GPS does but instead uses a Bluetooth tag along with several bluetooth arrays that are attached to the ceiling. By triangulating where the Bluetooth sensor is it can give an accurate representation as to where an object is.
The image below shows a Parrot drone being tracked. The actual unit has a bluetooth sensor on top and the sensors around the room are used to track it and then the BT sensor feeds back the information to the computer which is then represented on the screen.

Nokia has confirmed that it will hand out a free Windows Phone to certain developers. Those who qualify are the ones who are either Nokia Launchpad members, Nokia Developer Champions or who received a Nokia E7 back in February.
“If you received a Nokia E7 back in February when we announced our new smartphone strategy, you’ll automatically receive a Windows Phone device. If you are currently a Nokia Developer Champion or a Nokia Launchpad member, you are already eligible, and you will soon receive an e-mail to explain how to get your new Nokia Windows Phone.”
When Nokia announced Nokia Maps for the Windows Phone platform, it was only going to be made available for the Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710. This is still officially the case although XDA Developers has managed to get hold of the XAP installation file and has made it available to install on any Windows Phone device that is unlocked.
The SIM free version of the Nokia Lumia 800 will be going on sale on November 16 here in the UK. This contradicts what was said earlier today by Clove who had said the SIM free version would be shipping early next year.
We have had confirmation that the Nokia Lumia 800 Windows Phone Mango smartphone will not be available SIM free on November 16. From what we understand, Nokia has moved the date to January 2012.
Good news is that the device will still be available on November 16th on contract at various locations.
Although Nokia doesn't officially sell the Nokia N9 in the US, Expansys in the US has managed to import a number of the smartphones and is now selling them out that way.
