Latest Gadgets, Tablets and Smartphones
There seems to be a few HTC rumours around this week with the latest one being that HTC are working on the HTC Touch Pro3 with a tentative launch date of this summer.
The rumoured information comes from the XDA Developers forums where the information says the device will be smaller and slimmer than the Touch Pro2 (pictured above).
Other than that there is no other information other than it could possibly run Windows Phone 7 Series (assuming it meets the criteria). [Read more…]
Verizon are to be launching the HTC Touch Pro2 on their network and it will go on sale for $199.99 when launched today (or $489.99 if you decide to buy it off contract). Sprint also will be offering the same Touch Pro2 phone but it will cost you $349.99 on contract.
The HTC Touch Pro2 has a 3.6″ WVGA touchsceen display with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. A 3.2 megapixel camera can be found on the device and for connectivity there is WiFi and Bluetooth. The Touch Pro2 will run the Windows Mobile 6.1 operating system. [Read more…]
I recently mentioned to someone that I would be keeping my Tytn II for a while longer even after it’s contract ends in a few weeks. However, when seeing the HTC Touch Pro2 this morning I think I might now be changing my mind. The HTC Touch Pro was a great phone, but the Touch Pro2 just ads a bit of class in the looks department. The HTC Sensation XE has been announced today. The device is a replacement for the original Sensation and comes with upgraded specs which includes Beats Audio. The XE is the first device from HTC to utilise Beats Audio and comes with enhanced sound capabilities which includes some in-ear headphones from Dr. Dre.
Sprint will be launching the HTC EVO 3D as well as the EVO View 4G on June 24 in the US.
The HTC EVO 3D is a smartphone that has a 4.3 inch qHD 3D display and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. When the EVO 3D launches, it will have a price tag of $199.99.
HTC has announced the HTC EVO 3D. The new EVO uses a glasses-free 3D effect to make images pop out of the screen. The 3D screen measures 4.3 inches and is in a QHD resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. It also uses capacitive touch.
The new smartphone uses a 1.2GHz dual-core processor. It has 1GB of internal storage and 1GB of RAM. The storage can be increased by microSD. The device has three cameras with a smaller front facing camera that can capture at 1.3 megapixels and two 5 megapixel cameras on the back. As well as announcing the HTC Flyer tablet as well as the ChaCha and Salsa smartphones, HTC has announced three other smartphones called the HTC Incredible S, HTC Wildfire S and the HTC Desire S.
The HTC Incredible S is pictured above and is a GSM device designed for the European market. It has an 8 megapixel camera on the back. The screen measures 4 inches and is a WVGA Super LCD screen. A front facing VGA camera is also included on the Incredible S. This particular smartphone will also be made available in Q2 although we see it will come with Android 2.2 rather than 2.4 like the other devices mentioned earlier. HTC has announced a new tablet device called the HTC Flyer. The Flyer has a 7 inch touchscreen that is also compatible with stylus input. It runs Android 2.4 which is an update to Gingerbread, but still called Gingerbread that brings Android 3.0 Honeycomb elements to the backend.
The tablet is also the first ever tablet that runs the HTC Sense UI. The stylus uses an active digitizer that makes it compatible with the capacitive touchscreen. By including this, they allow for those who want to use a tablet to scribble notes on with a pen rather than finger. [Read more…]
HTC has filed for a trademark for a new device called the HTC Scribe. The name and specifications suggest that this particular device will be a tablet.
What we have heard about the HTC Scribe is that it will have 2GB of internal memory that can be expanded a further 32GB via a microSD card. It is rumored to have a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with a size of about 10 inches. It isn’t clear at the moment if the screen will be capacitive or resistive. [Read more…]
HTC has announced that the HTC Wildfire will be launching in the US on multiple North American carriers. The launch will be held sometime in the forth quarter of this year… which is any time from now.
The device its self has a 3.2 inch QVGA touchscreen and is classed as a mid-range Android smartphone. It has a 528MHz processor, 512MB of ROM and 384MB of RAM.
On the back of the Wildfire is a 5 megapixel camera. For connectivity it has Wireless 802.11b/g. It runs the Android 2.1 operating system. [Read more…]
We had revealed more recently that the HTC Trophy will be coming to the UK on the Vodafone network, but If you would rather not have to worry about an 18-24 month contract or pay through the nose each month for your glorious and lovely new handset then fear not.
Unfortunately though, it’ll cost you almost half a grand at a whopping-mahusive price of £439.99. But will the “pro’s” out weigh the “cons”. [Read more…]
