Class 10 MicroSDHC 16GB Card from Kingston Starts Shipping

Kingston are shipping a class 10 microSDHC memory card that has a 16GB capacity. The microSDHC card is capable of transferring data at 10MB/second allowing it to be used in DSLR cameras that capture fast images.

The “Class” status’ given to memory cards indicates the speed at which data can be transferred to and from. For example, a Class 2 card can transfer data at 2MB/s while a Class 10 card can transfer at 10MB/s. The higher the class the faster data can be transferred to and from.

“With the new speed class, host devices such as high-definition cameras or the latest smartphones are being designed to optimize their write performance to take advantage of the more responsive memory card speeds,” said Wendy Lecot, Flash card business manager, Kingston®. “Now that the Class 10 card specification is five times faster than a Class 2 card, users will see swifter copying and transferring of photos, music, videos and e-books when using a multi-format card reader such as the Kingston Media Reader or MobileLiteG2 with a PC.

Datopal SIM Card Multi Reader

OTH-READER-12IN1
The Datopal SIM card multi reader has the ability to read a vast amount of cards. As the name suggests, it can read SIM cards from mobile phones (both GSM and CDMA). Other cards this reader can use are SD\Mini SD\MMC\RS-MMC\T-Flash\Micro SD\MMC Micro\MS and SIM Cards. The device is USB 2.0 and backwards compatible with USB 1.1. The reader is also plug and play allowing you to connect it up to any PC and quickly transfer data from the source card. Datopal have also put in backup capabilities allowing you to quickly backup and restore data from your SIM card.

Overall I would say this is a very handy device to have as backups are key. Basically it sucks to loose your phone or any data. By having this reader you can keep a copy of everything.

When opened the screens lay flush with each other giving a continuous smooth surface to work with. Also the screen is attached like a tablet PC and can be rotated around and folded back although neither of the two screens are touchscreen.
