A source is claiming that the iPad 3 will be announced on March 7. That date is a Wednesday this year which that particular day of the week falls in line with other product announcements by Apple. That week also falls inline with earlier reports just a few days ago from another source.
So, on March 7 this year we should hear more about the iPad 3 and perhaps be given a release date of the week after earliest.

The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is the latest officially backed ‘Google’ Phone, following in the footsteps of the G1 and the Nexus phones. Lenovo has launched a new tablet called the Lenovo IdeaTab S2. The device measures just 8.69mm thick and comes with a 10 inch display. The operating system running on the S2 is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The keyboard is an extra which adds a little thickness to the tablet. In a similar way to the Transformer Prime, the S2 keyboard allows the tablet portion to be docked so it can be used more like a laptop for data entry.

Youtube user 359gsm has run some tests to compare browser speeds on the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and the Nokia Lumia 800. The iPhone 4 is running iOS 4.3 while the 4S is running iOS 5. The results (unsurprisingly) reveal that the iPhone 4S is the winner. There are a few reasons for this of course.

A new plugin has been created that can allow Siri to control various items in a home. The plugin doesn't have a name at the moment which means we'll just have to call it the Room Controller plugin.
Since the Siri protocol was captured and figured out a few programs have been able to make use of the data and capture it on its way to Apple and then pass the needed information back to the phone with a result. We've seen this before thanks to plamoni who created some proxy software that could step in-between the iPhone 4S and Apple to capture commands.

The image below is of a new device which is believed to be called the HTC Ville. The new device claims to be one of (or the) thinnest smartphone measuring just 8mm thin. That beats the iPhone 4S which is 9.3mm thick and the Galaxy S II which is 8.49mm at its thinnest point.

The Amazon Kindle Fire is one tablet that looks worthy to take on the Apple iPad. Although the Kindle Fire doesn't have the same specs as the iPad 2, its price tag of just $199 and the fact that its built with some quality components such as an IPS screen, mean that this tablet will sell extremely well.
As they always do, iFixit has dissembled the Kindle Fire to see what is inside and what exactly makes it run.
