Angry Birds Christmas edition will be launching in December. A Finnish TV station confirmed the existence along with the image on show below.
What can we expect from Angry Birds Christmas Edition... we suspect the same as always, ie a lot of fun throwing birds at constructions to squash the pigs in attempt to claim three stars.... mixed with a lot of snow, Christmas trees, presents and ice of course. [click to continue…]

Christmas tree's are a pain to clean up after you take them down a few days after Christmas. Needles go everywhere and you have to then find somewhere to chuck the tree. This desktop LED Christmas tree will save you all the hassle although I doubt you will see many presents under it as it stands just 4 inches tall. Ok, it's not going to replace your living room Christmas tree, but it is a perfect desktop companion through out this festive season. It is powered by a 9V battery which I assume lasts a long time with it powering just the little LED's.
This little Christmas tree is available at Firebox for £6.95.

Advent Calendar's are used each year to count down to Christmas. LEGO have created their own advent calendars which feature 24 days of LEGO building fun. Another version is the LEGO Bellville calendar which includes animals and accessories.
Each costs £12.99 in the UK and are available here and here.

You have probably walked through an airport to see one of those fancy spinning screens which seems to always face you. You have also probably seen the frisby with a bank of LEDs on which you can throw and it spells out words in the air. The POV Christmas tree works on a similar principle. It is a bank of LEDs in the shape of a tree. The LEDs spin around a central point fast and it shows the appearance of a christmas tree out of LEDs. They are cool to watch. The tree is powered by 9V batteries and full instructions can be found at the link at the bottom of this post.
For those of you who are not sure what POV means, it is persistance of vision.

The Flying Alarm Clock is a genius device which makes getting out of bed pretty much mandatory. Getting out of bed is hard! I hate it myself. If you get the flying alarm clock then it will not shut up until you push the propellor back in to the top of it. The catch is that the propellor flys away to who knows where, and you have to find it to shut the thing up. Excellent idea... well maybe I best keep it quiet from my wife or I might find one under the tree for christmas. But... the idea is ingenious.
Buy it now from Firebox for just 19.95
Remember, this is a great christmas present for those lazy bones who will just not get out of bed in the morning!

Today we saw the 1st December 2006 appear on our callendars. This means that it's not long till christmas day and what better way to start then with a circuitboard christmas tree decoration. Acorn Studios have created the christmas tree circuitboard which is basically and old cut off from a calculator or something similar and it's shaped in to a triangle with some metal wire soldered on the top and shaped in to a star. This "was" available for 19.95 dollars but due to demand, or lack of calculators, they no longer have them in stock. However, I am sure you all have the technical know how, to make one of these your self. Just dont go burning your self on the soldering iron.
