Search: Alarm+clock

Each time the clocks change in preparation for the summer, it seems that iOS devices have problems with making the change. Last time, alarms broke and this time it seems the clocks are switching an hour in the wrong direction.

This time each year, clocks move forwards an hour in the US (followed by the UK and other places shortly after). A quick search on Twitter reveals that this wasn't the case though for a number of iPhone users who have essentially posted on twitter wondering why they woke up a couple of hours later than expected. When Australia switched clocks an hour a few weeks ago, a bug was spotted with the alarm clock that prevented alarms from sounding until an hour later. The bug is with recurring alarms which set of an hour later than the time set.

With Europe now switching clocks over the weekend, the bug is now here and it is expected that on November 7th the US will also see the bug in alarm clocks unless Apple [AAPL] push out a fix before hand. [click to continue…]

Motorola has announced that the DROID 2 will be heading to Europe as the Motorola MILESTONE 2, like the Motorola DEFY, it will also be "enhanced" with MOTOBLUR. Unfortunately.

The MILESTONE 2 will launch with Android 2.2 installed which also allows for Adobe Flash 10.1 to be run in the browser. The CPU on the MILESTONE 2 is 1GHz and the device features the same slide out keyboard as the DROID 2. Essentially, it's the same phone but branded slightly different for whatever reason.

Features of the Motorola MILESTONE 2 include the 3G mobile hotspot capabilities that allows for up to five wireless devices to connect up and share the 3G connection. [click to continue…]

We originally wrote about the MoviePeg iPhone Stand back in March this year. The original was a single peg that attaches to the side of an iPhone to prop it up at a better angle for watching movies. It's a simple, cheap and fantastic idea.

The iPad launched in April and a lot of people have been wondering if a MoviePeg iPad stand would be made available... the answer is yes, and it's available now.

The MoviePeg iPad stand is similar to the iPhone version, but because of the iPad being larger, you need to use two MoviePegs instead. When ordering the MoviePeg for iPad you actually get two that can snap together to keep them safe whilst travelling around. [click to continue…]

The Movie Peg is a neat little idea that allows you to easily prop up your Apple iPhone or iPod Touch to make a more comfortable viewing angle.

Forget awkwardly propping up your iPhone with your bag or that complicated tripod contraption. Add MoviePeg to your iPhone, adjust the angle and like magic you'll be in relaxed viewing heaven. And it's not just for movies; use it in the kitchen when following recipes, with the guys watching sports, as a night-stand for your alarm clock, in the garage working through those how-to instructions, or keeping the kids entertained without the evidence of sticky little fingers. No matter how you use it, MoviePeg is your super portable iPhone tilting wonder.

aXbo-Alarm-Clock-LightWaking up in the morning is perhaps one of the most annoying parts of the day. Nobody likes to wake up at the wrong time feeling like they just need that few minutes extra sleep. The aXbo Sleep Phase Alarm clock was designed to tackle that problem by analysing your sleep patterns through the night and waking you up at a time where you are not in the middle of a deep sleep. By waking up at the right time it prevents the groggy feeling you get sometimes in the morning.

We were given an aXbo alarm clock to test for a couple of weeks to see how it performs and if it works as well as it claims it does. In short, it seems to do what it says on the box in that each morning I woke up I never seemed to wake up in the middle of a deep sleep. Lets take a closer look though to see how it actually works and what it actually does to prevent the groggy mornings. [click to continue…]

hp_dreamscreen_real_life_640The HP DreamScreen is more than your average digital photoframe as it also connects with Facebook, lets you listen to Pandora radio, check the weather and more. Look at it as an interactive frame rather than a dull frame that shows slides of your last vacation.

Other features on the HP DreamScreen allow it to function as an alarm clock. It connects to your home network over a wireless connection so that sites such as Snapfish and Facebook can be used. Also, the wifi connection allows the frame to have images sent to and from your laptop or PC. [click to continue…]

USB Hub Alarm Clock

by Matthew Newill on August 20, 2009

usb_alarm_clockI really don't get the point of the USB Hub Alarm Clock. I just don't remember a time when an alarm clock woke me up and I had the sudden urge to connect up 4 USB devices to it... but I guess the creators have done their research and found there is a need for such a device. With it being an alarm clock you would expect it's for the side of your bed, but as it's a hub does it sit with your PC on the desk? If so, doesn't your computer tell the time anyway? Confusing!

The USB Hub Alarm clock does actually look really good despite the strange part about the USB connectors. It has the ability to show you the time in 25 different cities around the world. [click to continue…]
