A new projector from Sanyo has been announced that is named the LP-WXU700. An interesting and unique feature of this projector is that it has Wi-fi capabilities and works at 802.11n speeds. The wi-fi function allows full video streaming to be done allowing the projector to be connected up by just plugging it in.
The software running the projector is Windows CE 6.0 that is embedded in to the device allowing other Windows devices to easily connect via Wi-fi. To get this feature to work you just use it in Vista as a network projector and assuming your wifi network is all configured correctly you will be good to go. You then simply search for the projector on the network, click and what’s on screen is magically projected to the big screen.
As well as having an impressive wireless 802.11n spec, the Sanyo LP-WXU700 also has an impressive lumen brightness. The lamp is capable of creating a 3800 lumen brightness that allows it to work in ligher and almost day light situations.
The projector will be available from 19th June this year over in Japan and will cost $6440. No word yet on if it’s coming this way.
