After literally just mentioning the Samsung Tocco I came across information on the Samsung i7500 which could be their first Android phone to hit the market.
Reports are claiming that the Samsung i7500 will be released over in Germany on to the O2 network. O2 seem to have exclusive access to it too.
The phone is slightly thinner then the Tocco we just mentioned as it’s only 11.9mm thick. It has no slider keypad and relies mainly on the 3.2″ capacitive touchscreen.
Rumoured Specs of the Samsung Android Phone
* Android 1.5 (Cupcake)
* Quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity
* Dual band UMTS/HSPA connectivity
* 3.2 inch capacitive touchscreen display with HVGA (480 x 320) resolution
* GPS
* Wi-Fi
* Bluetooth
* 5MP camera with LED flash
* 3.5mm headset jack
* 528 MHz Qualcomm MSM7200A CPU
* 8GB of internal memory
* MicroSD card support
Overall they are some fairly standard specs for phones these days. It will cost $398 if rumours are to be believed which I assume is off contract. We’ll update you as we get more official news in.
