Samsung Galaxy 2 Android Phone

From what we are hearing today, it seems like Samsung might be stepping things up a bit by launching a phone called the Samsung Galaxy 2.

The Galaxy 2 is a step-up from the original and from what the specs say it has a good amount of power, a decent screen and plenty of storage. However, it is important to know before we share the specs below that they have come from several unofficial sources, but with several sources matching it does make them seem likely to happen.

Samsung will put a 1GHz Snapdragon processor in the Galaxy 2. The screen will measure 3.7 inched and be an AMOLED display (touch-screen of course).

For storage it is expected that the Galaxy 2 will have 32GB and for image capture a 5 mexapixel sensor will be included. The phone it's self will run Android 2.1 and have the usual goodies packed in that includes GPS, WiFi, maybe a compass although that wasn't mentioned along with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

It is expected that an official announcement of this phone will be made at MWC 2010 next month with the phone being made available in the second quarter of this year.
