PreCommunity have spotted a Palm Pre GSM handset at MWC2009. After taking off the back of the device they found that a Vodafone SIM card was in there. This doesn’t confirm who a carrier will be across Europe as I am sure each country will pick their own, but it does make you wonder if Vodafone will have exclusivity on the Palm Pre.
PreCommunity spotted that the 2 phones available both had a Vodafone SIM card in and Vodafone ES in another. Vodafone ES was listed as an active WWAN carrier on another device. Due to Apple signing up with O2 in the UK for their iPhone it does make you think that Vodafone will be doing anything they can to get in on the Pre here in the UK.
This however is no official announcement and just an observation to get us all talking
