Rocket Powered Mechanical Arm

Rocket Powered Arm
Engineers at Vanderbilt university have created a mechanical arm which is powered by a miniature rocket motor. This allows it to lift 20 - 25 pounds which is a lot more then the average mechanical arm. As well as having more strength the arm can also work several times quicker. It weighs about the same as a natural arm and is a nice leap forwards for prosthetic arms. As well as being quicker and more powerful the arm also moves more naturally by having a wrist that can turn as well as the thumb and fingers which can be also independently moved.
