RC Car with Built in Gyro Camera

vts camera car RC Car with Built in Gyro CameraWhen I came across the VTS RC Car I just had to mention it on Gadget Venue. RC cars are great and I had a few while growing up (I still have a couple now). RC cars are also great because they are quick at accelerating, go over large jumps often unharmed and require some skill to control them.

What sets the VTS apart from the rest is that it has an attached camera. Gaj-It’s writer described it as so….

you’re not even a backseat driver, you’re an outside driver. Well, it looks as though that’s all about to change, with the new VTS (Vision Tracking System) Camera Car allowing you to literally take the driver’s seat.

To add even more to the funkiness of this car you get to wear a special headset (which I think is probably not the coolest thing), but the headset does have motion sensors in. If you look left then the camera looks left, and if you look right… you know what happens. This is a great feature and certainly adds another dimension or two to your standard RC car.

Normally I would end a write up here, but there is still more. :) The car uses wireless broadcasting to transmit not only the VGA signal to the head set, but it also sends a stereo audio stream allowing you to be completely immersed in the RC action.

The VTS car costs £599.95 and is available from Red5.

If it’s petrol, you will be deaf after playing it while listening to the audio stream

where do you get that kind of rig…. that would be good with a night vision camera. You could sit in your home and eplore the back yard on your couch.
