RC Car sets its goal at 200MPH+
Nic Case has built the X2 which he wants to get it to go over 200MPH. The current record is 134.4MPH. The car is powered by a 29.6 volt motor which is direct drive and capable in theory of reaching 274MPH. This theoretical speed is based on the motor running the car with no drag and road friction. To add to the complex car set up it has a gyroscope inside which detects if the car is moving off a straight line course and automatically adjusts the rudders to keep it in the right direction.
An RC car going 200MPH will be something cool to see and I am looking forwards to seeing more of this in the future. For now, you can check out the test runs after the jump.
