If the Nintendo DSi is not your style then you could check out the latest in portable gaming. The Portable NES was created by Mobius1ski who combined a Nintendo Entertainment System with a regular running shoe.
Of course the system isn't fully portable as you do need to hook it up to a screen and attach a control pad, but it is a fun little mod.
