Pong Watch

Pong Watch
Pong is a great video game from the early 70s which almost all of you have heard of. It consists of a ball, 2 bats and a table. The idea of the game is to hit the ball past your opponent to score a point. Controlling the game is simple and requires that you use the controller to move the bat up and down the screen to deflect the ball back to your apponent. The simplistic graphics allowed for this game to happen early on in the computer age. Pong hit the world by storm and became very popular in its time and is still a well known game today amongst the younger generations.

Last year we reported on a Pong wall clock which was a very inovative use of the pong game. The pong wall clock consisted of an LCD screen, CPU and a frame. It sits on your wall while the computer battles it’s self and tells the time.

Since then the pong clock has shrunk in to a smaller wrist watch size. The simplistic approach is bound to be a conversation starter as the nice clear OLED screen shows the bats and ball moving on the fairly large screen while the hours and minutes are displayed at the top where the scores are normally read out. Battery life is around 25 hours so a recharge every day is needed if you want to use it on a daily basis.
