plugin mp4 car player Plug in Car MP4 PlayerThis MP4 in-car video player is designed for use in the car. It has a 1.5″ TFT LCD screen and has 4GB of storage built in.

The MP4 player has an FM transmitter built in also which allows you to broadcast the audio (wirelessly) to your car radio to provide better sound quality to the movies and MP3’s that you play.

The device works by connecting it up to your car lighter. You then set the FM channel, tune in and press play. There are 2 options for media to be played. First off, you can upload your content to the built in 4GB of memory, or you can use the SD card slot on the side to play media direct from the SD card.

Just one word about safety… I doubt very much that this will be legal to operate in a moving car unless the lighter socket is in the back of the car which isn’t too common to see.

I’ve just received one of these (1GB model) and have to say that it’s a nice design and promises much.

Unfortunately, in use, it’s next to useless because there is so much digital noise emitted by the device that the FM signal is constantly interrupted. Also it only supports a maximum of 2GB SD car so storage is limited.

I suppose you get what you pay for.

I haven’t used this particular model, but from using similar models I had to use the software supplied with the device to convert it to the playable format. It might be worth you checking the software that’s on the CD (if it came with a CD).
