eBook readers are devices that use little power to run. Examples are the Amazon Kindle and the Sony PRS-505. The latest one is built by Plastic Logic and uses an electrophoretic display on plastic.
The Plastic Logic reader is touchscreen and weighs just 450g. It measures 8.5 x 11 inches and is powered by Windows CE. The eInk on the screen uses little power and allows the device to work for up to a week before it needs a recharge. It measures just 7mm thick too which makes it a very thin device. One other thing that stands out to me is how you change the page on your book. You simply swipe your finger across the screen to move either backwards or forwards through the book.
The device is scheduled for a late 2009 launch, but unfortunately no prices are available just yet.

I wish you had more information about this reader. I am interested in learning more about the other options than Kindle and Sony. I already have a Sony and love it but I can’t wait for an even better ebook reader. They are so useful!
