Mini indoor Picoz RC Helicopter

The PicoZ Micro Helicopter is an RC Helicopter that is small. Ok, it’s not as small as the Pico Flyer which we wrote about, nor is it as small as the Solar Powered Helicopter we also wrote about. But the former of those is not available to buy and the latter is wood and does not fly anyway :)

Along comes the PicoZ Micro Helicopter. The helicopter is designed for indoor use, comes with an infrared remote control which also acts as the charger for the copter. The rc helicopter is 17cm long and weighs just 10 grams. The infra red remote control has a wide beam and can keep the helicopter under control for up to 30ft which is probably larger then your average living room anyway.

Helicopter Charger
As mentioned earlier, the rc helicopter charges via the remote control which takes around 30 minutes and give the rc helicopter enough juice to fly around for a good 10 minutes. The battery is a lithium polymer which is extremely light weight to keep the whole rc helicopter in that 10 gram weight.

The old petrol powered rc helicopters are generally hard work to fly and can take many hours of training. Some describe it as trying to balance it on a pin when it’s in the air. There are so many controls to adjust to keep it level and in the air. The PicoZ Micro RC Helicopter is different and uses an auto stability system which does all the hard work for you. All you have to do is make it go up, down, forward, backwards and rotate it :) Easy. You will be flying it out of the box.

The best part is that they are available in the UK for just 29.99 pounds. That is a whole lot cheaper then the 700+ pounds you pay for the larger petrol powered beasts.

Buy it now from Firebox in the UK for 24.95 pounds or $39.95 in the US.

GearCrave took this whole thing one step further– yes, they made a drinking game out of the Infrared RC Helicopter toys. When will it stop?

Also, for extra fun, you can use one of those cool Airzookas to shoot down the helicopters when they’re flying. See the video in that link, a couple of guys shooting down an RC office plane. Perfect to add a new dimension to the IR copter laser tag fun!

Great post Gadget Venue guys!

I have a PicoZ Heli, It is absolutely tiny, I bought it from Modelcrafts & Hobbies in Lower Hutt (Which is now out of business) for $34.99 It can fly up to 15 meters hogh & long, it is a good training helio, if you are new to this hobby (Such as myself) The PicoZ handles crashes very well, the main & tail rotor blades are made out of polycarbonate & the fuselage is made out of polystyrene & is only a two channel IRC helicopter, good for flying indoors. ;-D

OMG!!! I got one of these for christmas and it’s incredible, it’s so much fun, it’s hard, but no problem if you hit the wall (your girlfriend) so you can practice and practice and you really do find that omg, 30 minutes have gone by already???? oh well, dont worry, there are two of them :D unless your playing with your gf

this toy was the most fun a 30 year old man could get this christmas, more than the Wii he got as well, which is fun, just not in the same way.
