Philips Alarm clock with Built in LCDs

July 17, 2008

philips-clock-radioYou might know of my lack of ability to wake up on time in the mornings. A number of clocks have been designed which “might” help me such as the Sonic Bomb, Clocky and a bunch of others which make a racket in order to force you out of bed. Philips have now changed this to now make a “cool” alarm clock.

The Philips alarm clock is actually a digital photo frame… well, several digital picture frames so to speak. It has five 1.5 inch displays built in which can display pictures on each at a resolution of 128 x 128 pixels. These images can all be rotated in a slide show. As well as showing images the alarm clock has a calendar and it can record voice messages to be left for your family to listen to at a later date.

As it’s an alarm clock, it has to do that nasty task of letting you know it’s wake up time. Rather then a sudden bombardment of noise, this clock wakes you up progressively by music on an FM radio channel or regular beeps.
