Panasonic have launched a new IP phone that features a 5.7 inch colour touchscreen that allows you to control the phone as well as view images from camera live feeds from an office intranet.
The phone is called the KX-NT400 and as well as viewing feeds from cameras also lets you control cameras by providing controls (on-screen) to pan, tilt and access the zoom lens on the attached cameras.
'Perfect for locations where a PC is not practical or desirable, the stylish NT400 IP network phone enhances productivity from the back office to your home office, providing a flexible and reliable way to manage your business and personal contacts, check work applications, view network camera feeds and much more, right from your desk, said Bill Taylor, President of Panasonic System Networks Company of America. 'And the built-in Communications Assistant software makes a number of progressive features possible, including Voice Mail Assistant, which enables users to visually manage messages on the phone's screen.
As well as being a whole information and communications centre, the IP phone also allows for wireless headsets to be attached over a Bluetooth connection. Two Ethernet ports are included on the phone as well as a USB port, SD card slot and a jack socket for connecting up a wired headset.
Full details of the phone and availability can be found on the Panasonic website.
