Palm are currently preparing webOS 1.1 for launch. A number of enhancements are expected to be included in this update.
Those expected include more enterprise-friendly solutions such as remote security and remote Exchange support which will allow admins for more control over the security on the Pre.
According to a to a tipster over on PreCentral the new OS firmware will bring the potential for remote-wipes by IT admins that is handy should a device be lost or stolen. Exchange Active Sync security has also been increased. Auto-lock is another tipped function as well as the ability for the Pre to be wiped if a PIN code is entered incorrectly too many times.
Official details should follow in the next 30 days.
