Sprint sent out a press release today finally giving an official price on the Palm Pre as well as the official launch date. The Pre will be priced at $199.99 on the Sprint network and will be available from the 6th June.
Included with the phone will be the Everything Data plan which allows an unlimited use of the internet which is ideal based on the fact that a lot of WebOS will need data to run to it’s full potential.
Business users will also be able to sign up to the carrier’s Business Essentials with Messaging and Data plan. The Pre is $199.99 after a $100 mail-in rebate, and presuming you sign up to a new two-year contract; it will be available from Sprint’s own stores, together with Best Buy, Radio Shack and selected Wal-Mart stores.
An optional extra for the Pre is the Touchstone charging kit which will sell separately for $69.99 which comes with all you need for inductive charging (the base unit and cover for the Palm Pre).
Hopefully the Palm will be accepted by people as it looks like they have made a big comeback after a few years of absence.
