If you are stuck in a contract already over on Sprint but yet, want to get a Palm Pre then the price for an off contract phone has been revealed. The Palm Pre will cost $549.99 when launched.
There is one problem however in that the Palm Pre for some reason is still locked to Sprint’s network which means that you need to get a minimum plan from Sprint to use it. The plan at the moment is believed to cost $69.99/month which includes 450 minutes and unlimited data.
If you were unlucky in that you just signed up for a contract then you might be out of luck unless you want to pay the higher price. My recommendation is to grab it on contract with a sub’d price of $199 (still expensive in my opinion).

What is it with $70 minimum monthly costs for smartphones? The $200-300 you pay to get ahold of a phone isn’t enough? It’s what’s stopped me from getting an iPhone honestly.
