Evernote has updated the Evernote app for iOS devices. The universal app update covers the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch versions.
New features include snippets, an updated PDF engine, more formatting options, Evernote Business integration and the usual various bug fixes.
Due to the rising costs of electricity, I am always looking for cheaper alternatives to lower the power consumption I use. The NanoLight is one such device that will help with this. I came across the project on Kickstarter today although it was launched almost 2 months ago.
The NanoLight claims to be the worlds most efficient lightbulb. It has been designed with a unique look which serves a purpose of both directing light in all directions as well as acting in place of a heat sink.
The North Paw Directional Anklet is a device that you attach to your ankle. Its only purpose in life is to vibrate when you are facing north.
As the "kit" part of the name suggests, it actually comes in kit form and requires that you do a bit of soldering and general assembly to get it working.
Many of you will have grown up with Lego and will have built a number of your own creations. One site I've seen around recently is Lego Cuusoo which allows you to submit your own Lego creations and have them voted on to see if there's a chance a set can be actually made.
One of the sets currently on show is a Legend of Zelda: Iron Knuckle Encounter.
The Mycestro 3D Mouse aims to provide a new way of interacting with a computer. It has been designed to attach to your finger and allows you to work with a mouse pointer on screen without moving your hands away from the keyboard.
The idea came about when the designed was sat on a plane and noticed someone struggling with a laptop and mouse on one of the seat trays. At that point he decided it was time to incorporate the mouse in to a smaller device that attaches to your finger.
We've seen a trend over the last few years where small RC cars/helicopters are starting to dump the supplied remote control handset instead, opting for a smartphone.
This particular RC device is a miniature 1:50 scale Ferrari Enzo that you can control with your iOS device which includes an iPod touch, iPad or iPhone.
To get the car and phone communicating you simply need to plug in an RC transmitter (supplied) to your headphone jack, install a specific app and then start driving the car around with the on-screen controls on your iOS device.
If you fancy a cup of hot chocolate in a rather unique looking mug then check out the Build-On Brick Mug. The mug is compatible with LEGO, Pixel Blocks, Mega Blocks, KRE-O and K'NEX style bricks and allows you to attach the said bricks to the Mug to make it unique every single time you drink from it.
One of the latest projects to join Lego Cuusoo is the Jules Verne Train that Doc Brown uses on Back to the Future III. Lego Cuusoo is a place where people can upload their own Lego creations and if they get enough votes, Lego decides if it will build the project in to a real kit and put it out for sale.
Although I like many of the product ideas on Kickstarter, there are some that just grab my attention. This time around it's the 3Doodler. The 3Doodler is a 3D printing pen that lets you scribble drawings in 3D... meaning you can take the pen off the paper and draw in thin air right in front of you.
The worlds smallest automatic umbrella is extremely compact in design when folded up and when needed, it opens up to a 40 inch diameter to protect you from the rain.
Opening it takes just the push of a button. Likewise, to collapse it down to its compact size (8 inches) for storing, it also takes just the push of a button.
If you are still using an older Amazon Kindle (the one without the front-lit screen), or just a regular book then perhaps you need to get some of these rechargeable LED reading glasses.

Tetris was created back in 1984 over in the Soviet Union. Several years later, it launched on the Nintendo Gameboy, Sinclair Spectrum and a whole bunch of other computers and games consoles.
