Orange UK gets Exclusive deal on Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 in White

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 Android OS based phone is almost here. T-Mobile have already started taking orders for the smartphone that will ship in the next 10 days. We also hear it will be made available on other networks, one of which is Orange who will get an exclusive on the white version of the phone. While other places get to sell the black variations, Orange will be the only company allowed in the UK to ship a White version.

The Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 will be made available early in April. The device has a 1GHz Snapdragon processor from Qualcomm. It's camera can capture images at 8.1 megapixels with the camera also having auto-focus. The screen measures 4 inches and is in a WVGA resolution, and of course is touchscreen.

1GB of internal memory is included with the phone which is expanded by a microSD card with an 8GB capacity.

Francois Mahieu, director of devices at Orange UK, said in a statement: 'We're really pleased to be working with Sony Ericsson to help bring their first Android device to UK customers.

Other versions of the XPERIA X10 are also due out soon which includes the mini versions the X10 Mini and the X10 Mini Pro. Expansys has the X10 Mini listed on their site with a tentative release date of May 24 costing £300 (unlocked of course).

The XPERIA X10 Mini Pro is the version with the slide out keyboard and is expected to cost £340 when launched May 24 over at Expansys.

It's great to see we'll finally get hold of these phones after waiting for so long.
