If you remember seeing the dual screen netbook we spoke about a few weeks back then you might have noticed it has two x 1024 x 600 displays making it very unique as it has a small form factor but can also offer a dual screen setup giving a larger screen estate. Onkyo has just "one upped" the Kohkinsha by creating the Onyko DX Series that is actually a Kohjinsha re-branded but with higher resolution screens. The Onkyo has two 1366 x 768 screens rather than the lower resolution ones.
The screens still measure 10.1 inches each, but can display more pixels giving even more screen estate to the dual screen netbook users. Other specs on the device have stayed the same which include an Athlon Neo MV-40 single core processor running at 1.6GHz along with 2GB of RAM, a 320GB HDD and an AMD M780G chipset.
Graphics on the dual screen netbook are powered by an ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics card and for connectivity it has the usual wireless at 802.11n along with Bluetooth 2.1+EDR. The netbook runs the Windows 7 Home Premium operating system.
The netbook can fold in to a slate mode although the screens are not touchscreen making it a bit of a silly idea really. Battery power on the netbook will keep it running for 3.7 hours which isn't too bad considering it has two screens.
The Onkyo dual screen netbook will go on sale at the end of this month priced at $955.
