“O”

o explanation OWith a post title of just “O” you are probably confused at what this is about. “O” is a gadget that lets someone know you are thinking about them. That’s it… Nothing else.

“O” uses bluetooth technology to link to your mobile phone. When you squeeze “O” it sends a message to your phone which then in turn, sends a message to another phone which then passes it on to another “O”. The receiving “O” will flash various colours and vibrate a bit to let the receiver know you are thinking about them.

“O” is thought to establish emotional communication channels between friends, relatives or people that are sentimentally involved. The gesture performed by squeezing “O”’s body using the palm of our hands is declinable in a series of perceptive interpretations such as a handshake, a caress, a sensual touch, and it triggers the communication between two “O”s: when we apply pressure to it a signal is propagated to a destination “O”, which reacts with the patterns of vibration and color configured for the specific person sending the sensorial message.

Rather then explain this crazy idea any more I recommend you go check out the site here.

To be honest, I am not even sure if this is real or concept.

That’s a wonderful idea! Real life ‘pokes’
I wonder if this heralds a new era of non verbal / textual communication.

Probably not, but it does have a certain appeal nonetheless
