It’s a busy day for Nokia news today. More from Nokia Conversations provides details on the Nokia N97 mini that was unveiled just this morning over in Stuttgart.
The new N97 mini has new homescreen widgets as well as some usability improvements. 8GB of storage can be found inside and it has a decent sized 3.2 inch touchscreen as well as a full QWERTY slide out keyboard.
The N97 mini measures just 14.2mm in thickness and has the same design as the regular N97 apart from it being slightly smaller.
A new feature on the N97 is Lifecasting that allows you to update your facebook status directly from the homescreen. As well as updating your facebook status the device is also location aware and can update facebook with those details of where you are too.
The 3.2 inch touchscreen has been updated via software that allows more gestures to be used such as a flick to scroll function. Nokia also have said that the same software will also be made available next month for existing regular sized N97 devices.
The phone can be on standby for up to 12 days and provide an impressive 28 hours of music playback (if the phone is put in offline mode). The N97 mini has a 5 megapixel sensor and has a dual LED video light and flash. As most Nokia phones include a Carl Zeiss lens it is no surprise that the N97 mini also has one of these lenses.
The Nokia N97 mini will cost €450 before tax and subsidies. Via: Nokia Conversations
