Nokia N95 v11 Firmware
May 5, 2007
Nokia have launched their latest firmware for the N95 although the new version (v11) suposidly has a bug in it. It has apparantly solved many issues but also created a couple of annoying ones. The good things are that WLAN is stable, GPS locks quicker and the maps supposidly perform better with no errors. Also an adjustment to images from the camera has been made. While the update did fix a number of annoying flaws it didnt do the whole lot. More after the jump.
The latest problems are now related to video and the camera. A low memory prompt appears now when using the video and internet. Also the camera seems to have a longer delay when loading ready to take a new picture.
If you can get around the 2 problems caused then your phone might be worth upgrading. Just be careful when upgrading as it can kill your phone if you do not do it exactly as Nokia suggest and you could end up with an N95 brick that needs to be taken in for repair. Give me a shout in the comments if you need me to hunt down the link to where the upgrades for Nokia phones can be found.
