Nokia N80 Internet Edition

by Matthew on September 4, 2006

Nokia are now bringing out the N80 in the form of the Internet Edition. It’s a 3 megapixel slider phone with a whole new range of software. Some of the features included are a spruced up Internet Browser, new software from Yahoo Go, Flickr, Amazon etc…

Also amongst all this is a cool SIP-Compliant VoIP which will be able to utilise the N80’s wifi support. Various other features can be found such as it being quad band. Apparantly it has the same hardware spec as the current N80 and it’s just the software that is better. This means there is a chance that you might be able to upgrade the firmware. No official word on that though.

I recently upgraded to the Nokia N80IE, it’s really good. The SIP stuff is great, it is fully intergrated into the software. WHenever you make a call it will ask it you want to make voice, video or internet calls. Since the feature is integrated into the firmware it doesn’t slow your phone down either like many other applications do.

If you can get your hands on it, it’s sure worth it!
