The Nokia N77 is a multimedia computer (a fancy phone in English) which is optimised for mobile TV. It is about to be released in Finland soon and will then be moving out to countries who support DVB-H formats. Being able to receive DVB-H allows you to watch TV out of the home. I am not a fan of this idea personally as TV doesnt play a huge part of my life. However, if you are the type who makes regular journeys on public transport or are stuck somewhere and want to catch up the latest news then this could be ideal for you. The phone has a wide 2.4 inch screen as well as stereo sound which helps make the viewing easier on the eyes as well as the sound quality being fairly good. Also the N77 has a 2 mega pixel camera built in allowing pictures of up to 1600 x 1200 pixels to be taken. Web browsing, email, calendars and to-do lists are all part of the OS with it running on Series 60 3rd Edition software.
On the TV side, the Nokia N77 features a 30 second replay which after that is viewed, live TV continues on after the clip. The phone has a built in program guide which allows you to see what is available for the next 7 days. From my understanding of this service, it seems like it is all subscription based. I just hope that if it does make it over here that the prices are decent as I wouldnt want to be paying more then $5/Month to be able to watch mobile TV.
