NDrive Sat Nav features Photo Mapping
April 24, 2008
The NDrive G280 and G800 sat nav devices are soon to be launched. Each features photo mapping which shows a view of your route as an image of where you are. The benefit of this idea is that you will be able to see more clearly which junctions to turn at.
Other navigation devices such as TomTom have 2D and 3D mapping, but from time to time it is still quite difficult to catch the exact turning you need. With photo mapping you will be able to see the buildings you are driving past so you have something to actually compare the route to. To help you get the best possible sense of where you are going the NDrive system offers 5 perspectives with 4 of them being diagonal and a 5th which offers a bird’s eye view.
The two models which will be available shortly are the G280 which features a 3.5 inch screen and is capable of being used as a media player while the larger G800 comes with a 4″ screen and has bluetooth and an FM transmitter built in to allow you to connect to your mobile phone and car stereo.
The G280 will cost £199 while the G800 will sell for £315 over at Smart Devices.
