Musical Lego Mindstorm Robot

Musical Robot
Lego Mindstorms is quite cool allowing for some unique robots to be made such as toilet paper cutters amongst others. In this instance the robot pulls through a peice of paper with different colours on. As it pulls each segment through, it scans for the colour and then stores it in memory. Once the paper has all passed through, the robot will then play back a tune which varys according to the colours (or notes) that it just read in previously. Its no MP3 quality beat or anything and sounds more like an electronic game from the 80s but it is still quite cool to see someone program and create this little robot to do something different. Check out the video after the jump.

I made this for a school project. I didn’t have time for a complicated song or anything so I went with “Mary had a little lamb” :)
