Multi-Touch 3D Holograms

By using a mixture of multi touch software and the Musion Eyeliner Hologram Effect, a really cool Minority Report type system has been created. The system allows the user to drag, using multi touch technology, a number of images and throw them around while also having the option to zoom in and out of the images by moving their hands apart while effectively grabbing the floating image.

The system looks great and should allow for some seriously impressive stuff. The Eyeliner system is already used in a number of places such as displaying the 3D characters on stage for the Gorillaz band as well as the product launch of the Virgin Digital service. This already used system has been added to to allow complete interactivity by multi touch… or multi-point as it could be referred to as you cannot “touch” a hologram.

Although it’s way out of the price of most users I have no doubts that this stuff will be more accessible in the next few years.
