MSI are launching the MSI X-Slim series netbook line. These super-slim netbooks come with either a 13.4 or 15.6 inch screen and have a very small form factor.
The MSI X-Slims have been unveiled so far in China and there are no technical specs just yet. It is hoped that MSI will skip the Intel Atom and go for a more powerful Pentium class processor. Rumours are also floating around saying they could even utilise NVIDIA’s new Ion platform. That would be good! A HDMI port is included as standard on the MSI X-Slim which could put more weight on the NVIDIA Ion being used.
The MSI X-Slim’s will retail between $700 and $1000 when launched so lets hope this extra pricing isn’t just paying for the small form factor and is also used to put the beefy processor inside that we all want.

They both run Core 2 Solo CULV processors, an HDMI jack, with a 500GB HD in capacity, up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, and a 2-in-1 card memory reader. The X600 adds eSATA, options for 6 or 9-cell batteries while the x400 has 4 or 8 cell, and bumps the graphics from integrated GMA 4500MHD to ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4330. Pretty amazing machine.
