Cool DAP from MPIO – The FL500
To look at, the MPIO FL500 seems to be a weird triangle shape. However, that is not a bad thing as it still looks quite cool and is different from the usual rectangle shape. In each corner is a metal disk with one of them controlling the function of the DAP. The 3 choices are MP3, FM and record. This indicates that a built in MIC is available, or that the radio can be recorded.
Technical Details
The display on the device is a small OLED screen which is dot matrix and can display 128 x 48 dots on a 3 line set up. Two versions of the player are available which are the 1GB and 2GB models. The battery can power the device for 15 hours which is an acceptable and fairly lengthy amount of time.
The cost of the MPIO is $55 for the 1GB and $75 for the 2GB model.
