Motion Powered Computing – BT Balance

BT Balance
I bet you are wondering what Motion powered computing is. At first I was thinking a laptop that gets its power for being moved around. Alas, I was way off :) BT are launching BT Balance which is a device you hook up to your laptop or UMPC and this then uses accelerometers which allow you to control your laptop by tilting it just like a Wiimote or SIXAXIS. The device is a USB Dongle which will connect to the USB port on your device and then we assume some simple drivers will be installed which interpret the movement in to something the laptop understands.

I am not sure if this device will ever make it out, or if its just part of research that BT are doing. It does seem like an ok device though which if made cheap enough could be a nice simple edition to any laptop around.
