Mobile Phones with Fingerprint Recognition

Fingerprint Recognition
Fingerprints can be used to secure many devices these days such as laptops and pocket PCs. Today I came across some very vague information on a company in Japan who will be adding fingerprint recognition in its mobile phones. This will allow the phone to be secured and unusable unless the correct fingerprint is swiped across a sensor. Fingerprint recognition is a powerful, but quick way of securing a device. A password does not need to be remembered, a password cannot be hacked as every fingerprint is unique. It basically makes the phone belong to you and you only.

What I would like to see next is your fingerprint being registered with mobile companies and should you borrow someones phone, you can swipe your fingerprint, it gets recognised by the carrier and you can then go ahead and borrow a cell phone but still be billed on your regular account due to the phone detecting the fingerprint belonging to someone else. This type of technology is possible now and hopefully not too long before we see it hit the shelves.
